Carhuaz

We visited Carhuaz on market day - most of the town had turned into an enormous market, selling everything from peaches (a local speciality) to poleras (the layered skirt worn by women in the Andes).

Carhuaz1 Tethered donkey in Carhuaz, a small town near Huaraz.
Carhuaz2 Plaza de Armas, Carhuaz. Every town in Peru has a Plaza de Armas in it's centre. So, if you're ever lost, you can always ask the way there, and be pretty sure you'll end up in the heart of town.
